Canadian stunt driver Ken Carter never failed to amuse and shock his audiences with is death defying antics which is why he earned his name as “The Mad Canadian”. However, during the time in 1976, Carter came up with a project of jumping over the Saint Lawrence River using his rocket-powered Lincoln Continental. He got sponsors for this project but after spending so much time building the right car and missed the supposed schedule, most of the major sponsors withdrew the support and he went threw several stunt failures the years after, the producers thought that he lost his nerve and secretly gave the project to another stuntman, this time it’s Kenny Powers who attempted to do the death-defying stunt. In this video, you will witness some of the stunts he made and not all of them were successfully executed. The Saint Lawrence River was another failed attempt and this caused Powers major injuries. Powers broke eight vertebrae, three ribs and fractured a wrist but was able to survive after the surgeries!
