Which is better and which is tougher, A shaft made of steel or a carbon fiber shaft. In this video, Richard Hammond will put both materials to a test to find out which of them is much more reliable! Why is Carbon Fiber shaft too expensive yet as far as the weight is concerned, the material is lighter than the steel. They put the shafts in a machine using twisting force to measure the material’s durability. The steel shaft gave out at around 1376 newton meters while the carbon fiber shaft held until 4728 newton meters which is really a huge difference proving why carbon fiber is tougher than the shaft made of steel!
That was really over the top. What do you think of this next video?
