Here’s a useful lesson from Down Under on how to shoo away alligators. It uses crocodiles in the demonstration, since American alligators are only found in, you probably guessed it, the United States of America. Still, the same technique is pretty much guaranteed to work in both cases.
When you encounter an alligator, you should slowly walk up to her as close as you can, and just politely ask the reptile to leave the premises ASAP and apparently they will obey. This video shows how well these predators respond to kind words and constructive communication.
What you shouldn’t do, however, is back into them with your truck or you might lose a bumper.
