The concept cars are one of the great way for automaker to showcase new styling and new technology that they are about to offer to their customers. This kind of concept started since 1938 when the first ever Buick Y Job was made and since then, several other concept cars were introduced by different automakers from General Motors to Ford. This video showcases some of the most intriguing concept cars of the past. It includes the 1938 Buick Y Job, 1951 Buick Lesabre (sported a rain sensor that would trigger the convertible top switch when it would get wet), 1954 Buick Wildcat 2, 1954 Ford FX Atmos, 1954 GM XP-21 Firebird, 1955 Ford Latosca, 1955 Ford Mystere, 1955 Lincoln Futura (this is where the first Batmobile is based upon), 1956 Buick Centurion, 1956 GM Firebird 2, 1958 Ford Lagalaxie, 1958 Ford X-1000, 1958 GM Firebird 3, 1961 Ford Gyron, 1962 Chevrolet Mako Shark, 1962 Chrysler Turbine Car (similar to what Jay Leno has) and 1967 Ford Seattle-ite.
