If you’re a type of person who gets paranoid when leaving your car at a shop for repairs, then this is just the right video you need to enhance all your fears and seal your prejudices toward mechanics. Actually its audio-only, but it works just the same.
The owner of 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS secretly recorded mechanics abusing his car at Chevy dealer in Easley, South Carolina. William Clark says he took his Camaro to Best Chevrolet-Kia in Easley, S.C. for a clunking noise in the car’s six-speed manual transmission. After a previous bad experience with a different dealer, he decided to hide a voice recorder in the door pocket.
When he later listened to the tape, he said the techs drove it harder in 20 minutes than he had in three years. The recording reveals mechanics took his Camaro on a wild joyride that left his clutch burnt. When they realized what happened, they started scheming to get damages paid for by GM.
