Nowadays, we take touch displays in cars for granted. However, did you ever wonder what was the first car to have one of those. It was a 1987 Buick Riviera and with a touch display in it, you could operate with audio system, trip computer and even vehicle maintenance systems. Buick produced these systems for a few years, but they’ve neglected the idea soon after. The technology, however, was available and in the Nineties majority of manufacturers started to develop and experiment with touch displays.
