Here’s an epic footage of a heroic cop saving a driver from an oncoming train.
A spokesman from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said Deputies Lance Whitted and Erik Rueppel were in the area when they heard a vehicle crash into the crossing guard in Sunnyvale, Northern California.
The deputies ran to the car, which had major front-end damage, and saw a train approaching fast. One police officer tried to notify the train to slow down, while the other pulled the driver from the car. According to news sources, the driver was drunk and barely conscious. He stumbled and fell as they were running across the tracks, with the officer dragging him away just moments before the train hit the car.
