Guy Martin suffered one of the most painful high sides of his road racing career during the 2015 Ulster GP. The Lincolnshire man led the first Superbike race from Bruce Anstey until his Tyco BMW spit him down the road at Ireland’s corner. Dean Harrison experienced a crash in the same section of the Dundrod circuit last year which influenced the organizers to remove a row of hedges that lined the corner exit. This may have saved Martin’s life, because he was able to roll freely into the run off as opposed to ricocheting back onto the racing line. He still was not able to avoid serious injury as he broke multiple ribs, a vertebrae, and his sternum in the process. He checked himself out of a Belfast Hospital four days later and promptly returned home to his job as a lorry mechanic.
That is sooo crazy. More crazyness in the next video below!
