Historians and car enthusiast alike are sure to get a kick out of this incredible engine that was used from 1924-1946 at a cotton gin. The engine is a 110 HP 2 cycle, 2 cylinder hot head oil engine manufactured by the Continental Gin Company in Birmingham, Alabama. Although in this video the engine is pretty quiet it is said that when it was in service and under load it could be heard from over 12 miles away! Weighing over 22 tons it is no surprise that when this baby is up in action it can produce so much power and noise! We are lucky enough to see this engine in action!
